Virtual vs real life
Scandiweb is a full stack vertically integrated service provider with the largest eCommerce development team in Europe and US. The head office of the company is located in Riga, and it employs around 150 people. Since 2003 Scandiweb enables digital strategy for bootstrapping startups and established brands such as Jaguar Land Rover, Peugeot, New York Times, Reuters. Global business vision occurs in the office work organization and environment, which is inspired by the most influential IT companies in the world. IT industry requires continuous and long-lasting work in a virtual reality. For this reason, a purpose of the interior concept is to make a balance between a virtual reality and a real life. We followed the principles of multipurpose workspace to create a self-contained working environment. The office is functionally divided into two areas – work and play. Work area symbolically reflects the reality, which is dominated by natural finishes, plants, and a light. The play area visually is connected with a virtual reality, represented by a synthetic finish.
